How to set up SUMER_SEARCH and SUMER_TOOL

  1. Basically all the required routines should be available in IDL. This can be automatically done if the SolarSoftWare(SSW) idl package is installed and SSWIDL is called with the inclusion of SUMER instrument. If the SSW idl package is not fully installed, one needs to have all the general rountines in the directory $SSW/gen as well as this package.
  2. The IDL system variable !SUMER_CONFIG for the basic setting should be defined. Its initial setup is defined by calling the routine SUMER_CONFIG_DEF. If the vaiable is not priorly defined, SUMER_SEARCH program automatically calls SUMER_CONFIG_DEF. One can also modify the setting by clicking the menu button "Config" when SUMER_SEARCH is running, or by replacing the value of each field by a suitable one on the IDL command line. The system variable !SUMER_CONFIG has the following fields:
  3. The SUMER archive directory should be defined in a proper way. If necessary, please check the routine SUMER_DIR.
